Laboratory Of Biomechanics & Biocalorimetry (LOB2)
TYPES OF STUDIES:
1. Mechanical properties of load-bearing tissues and structures (natural,
diseased, traumatized, and after therapeutic treatment), and functional behavior
of locomotor systems.
2. Mechanical properties and biomechanics of implant devices and materials
(including tissue engineering scaffolds and constructs), and mechanical properties
of the device/tissue interface.
3. Physico-chemical stability, durability (including wear resistance) and
reactivity of implant materials in simulated implantation environments (mechanical,
physical, chemical, cellular).
4. Cellular Biology: Development of micro- and nano-calorimetric methods
for clincal and research use in microbiology, infectiology, immunology and
tumor pathology.
